I started to read books about surrealism yesterday, and there are few lines that  really drag me into it.

Antonin Artaud: "Surrealism is not a style, It is the cry of a mind turning back on itself."

Breton:" All that necessary was to disregard the context of the external world."

The LAST ONE which i like most , " Surrealism sought communication with the irrational and the illogical, deliberately disorientating and reorientating the conscious by means of UNCONSCIOUS."  from what i understanded of it ,  it's try to say that  all of surrealism artists try to torchure themselves mentally in order to make the their arts. I am not quite sure if that is true for all of them. but it sounds really cool to do that. ^_^
